Wolves – Tottenham Hotspur
Wolverhampton Wanderers hosts Tottenham Hotspur at the Molineux in a match from the 17th round of the Premier League. This looks like a really good game, let’s take a look.
After a slow start of the season Wolves are now 6th in the table with 24 points – the same amount of points as the 5th Manchester United. They are currently one of the teams with the less amount of losses since the beginning of the season – just two. The club’s fans are happy that the manager Nuno Santo continues to do his work as good as he was doing it last season. He’s truly a very capable tactician.
In their last five games Wolverhampton are unbeaten. Last weekend they visited Brighton & Hove Albion, but missed to win and the game ended with a 2-2 draw. This was the reason why Manchester United overtook them at 5th place. Diogo Jota scored both goals for Wolves, but the hosts scored two goals as well.
Tottenham Hotspur are doing pretty well since the appointment of Jose Mourinho. With the Special One Spurs won three of their last four games, only losing against Manchester United at the Old Trafford. Because of these three wins Tottenham are now 7th in the standings with 23 points. If they beat Wolves on Sunday, they will make another climb in the standings – with one or two positions.
Last weekend Spurs offered a great spectacle to their fans at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The Champions League finalists hosted Burnley and showed their best abilities for a 5-0 win. Harry Kane scored a brace, while Lucas Moura, Son Heung-Min and Moussa Sissoko also put the ball in the net.
Spurs’ captain Hugo Lloris is still unavaliable for selection, while Ben Davies and Erik Lamela are missing as well.
For Tottenham Hotspur it will be far from easy when they enter the pitch at the Molineux to face Wolverhampton Wanderers. We must expect a pretty great fight here.
