SPAL – Lazio

In two matches played so far in the league, SPAL suffered two defeats. In the first round Leonardo Semplici’s boys suffered a defeat against Atalanta at home, while in the next one they visited Bologna and also lost. In this game SPAL were really close to winning a point, but the Rossoblu scored a very late winner in the 93th minute. Roberto Soriano recieved the ball from Riccardo Orsolini and put it in the net.

Now SPAL will have another tough test in front of them, facing one of the teams who usually fight for a Champions League qualification. But they don’t have no choice – they need to win points on regular basis in order to survive.

Lazio won four points from the first two rounds of the Calcio. In the first round the Eagles achieved a fantastic win over Sampdoria in Genova, while in the second one they faced Roma in the big derby of the Eternal City. The derby at the Olimpico ended with a 1-1 draw. Roma opened the score with a goal from Lazio’s ex-player Aleksandar Kolarov, but Simone Inzaghi’s boys equalised with a goal from the Spanish midfielder Luis Alberto. The former Liverpool player executed well an assist from Ciro Immobile in order to beat Roma’s goalkeeper and his countryman Pau Lopez.

We believe that Lazio are favourites against SPAL on Sunday, even if they are playing away from home. They started the season much better than the hosts, so they will try to continue in the same way. But SPAL are in a serious need of points, so don’t underrestimate their ambition here.
