Sevilla – Real Madrid
Real Madrid’s former manager Julen Lopetegui started his first season in Sevilla really well. Right now Los Rojiblancos are leading the standings in La Liga with 10 points won and being one of the four teams in the league still unbeaten. Right now Sevilla have one point advantage in front of the second Atletico Madrid, so they would like to win this one and keep their position at the top. Plus, most probably Julen Lopetegui would like to prove himself against the club which sacked him really quick last season.
A week ago Sevilla visited Deportivo Alaves and achieved a difficult win, thanks to a winning goal from Joan Jordan. On Thursday the Andalusians recorded another win, kicking off successfully their campaign in Europa League. Lopetegui’s team visited Qarabag and beat them wtih three goals scored after the halftime break. Javier Hernandez scored his first goal for the club, while Munir and Oliver Torres also scored.
In Real Madrid the manager Zinedine Zidane is starting to feel the pressure. During the week Los Blancos faced PSG in Paris and suffered a humilating 0-3 defeat at Parc des Princes. It’s too early to talk about this, but some papers are already speculating that Zidane could get sacked if he doesn’t find a way to improve the way Real Madrid performs.
It remains to be seen how Real Madrid will react to the loss in Paris. We guess they are not in their best mental state at the moment, so it won’t be easy for them against Sevilla.
Sevilla have a very good chance to crush the shaken Real Madrid at Sunday. Let’s see if they can use it properly.
