Real Madrid welcomes Real Sociedad

Real Madrid welcomes Real Sociedad at the Santiago Bernabeu in the most interesting game from the 14th round of La Liga. Just two points separate these two teams at the moment, so we should expect a great derby in the Spanish capital.

Real Madrid are second in La Liga’s standings with 25 points, being on par with the leader Barcelona. At certain point Zinedine Zidane’s team was leading the table, but the 0-0 draw against Real Betis at the Bernabeu allowed the Catalans to return on top.

Last week Los Blancos redeemed themselves, recording a dominant 4-0 win during the visit to Eibar. Karim Benzema scored a brace for the visitors, while Sergio Ramos and Federico Valverde also added for the win.

Karim Benzema is impressing with the white shirt since the start of the season. The French striker is leading La Liga’s goalscoring chart, having 9 goals since the beginning of the campaign. He’s one goal ahead of Lionel Messi, Gerard Moreno and Loren Moron, being Madrid’s most effective striker at the moment.

Real Sociedad are also having a good season so far. The Basques are 5th in La Liga with 23 points, but just point behind Atletico Madrid and Sevilla.

La Real could have been on the same record with Barcelona and Real Madrid at the moment, but in the previous round the Basques made a dissapointing 1-1 draw against the underdog Leganes at home. Mikel Merino put Real Sociedad ahead in the 63th minute, but Youssef En-Nesyri equalised for the visitors in the 78th minute.

Zinedine Zidane can’t use some of his players for this game. Marcelo and Nacho are injured and they won’t be avaliable. Meanwhile Martin Odegaard and Illaramendi are unavaliable for La Real.

You can be sure that Real Madrid and Real Sociedad will offer us a great game on Sunday. Two of the best La Liga teams face each other at the beautiful Bernabeu.
