Manchester United – Wolverhampton Wanderers
We are heading to the Old Trafford where Manchester United hosts Wolverhampton Wanderers in a pretty interesting game from the 25th round of the Premier League.
Pretty recently these teams met twice in a game from the FA Cup. The first match ended with a 0-0 draw at the Molineux, while in the replay Manchester United achieved a 1-0 win. On Saturday the Red Devils will try to do this again.
Manchester United need the points here, because Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team is trying to reach the Top 4 and qualify for the Champions League again. Right now the Red Devils are 5th in the table with 34 points, being 6 points behind Chelsea. This is not an impossible gap to reduce, but it would take some consistency.
Manchester United need to improve their shape in the Premier League, because the Red Devils lost three of their last four games. During the weekend United achieved an impressive 6-0 win over Tranmere Rovers for the FA Cup, but the club needs to improve its Premier League shape.
What could be a problem for United is their schedule. On Wednesday the Red Devils faced Manchester City for the Carabao Cup, so Solskjaer needs to rotate his team in order to keep it fresh.
Wolverhampton Wanderers are two positions behind United, currently being 7th in the league with 34 points. As you can see, Wolves would overtake the Red Devils if they beat them at the Theatre of Dreams on Saturday.
Wolverhampton’s manager Nuno Santo has a pretty full squad to use. The one who is sidelined is the Portuguese defender Ruben Vinagre, who is injured.
Wolves have won just one of their last five matches in the Premier League which is probably a bit worrying for the manager Nuno Santo.
That’s the preview for the Premier League clash between Manchester United and Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday. That’s going to be a competitive game, we can assure you in this.
